Another Highly-Touted Hydroxychloroquine Study Turns Out To Be A Joke – Last week, Lancet had to retract the most highly-touted hydroxychloroquine study to date, which was used as evidence for entire countries to change their stance on the drug. The study, which was obviously flawed on its face (I commented well before it was exposed that the groupings made no sense), turned out to be produced by a shell company, with unverified data gathered by non-scientists.

The LAPD has run out of cash and can’t pay officers overtime; morale is at ‘rock bottom’ – The Los Angeles Police Department’s budget has been so depleted by the COVID-19 outbreak, and officers have been working so much due to the recent protests, that the department has run out of cash and can no longer afford to pay officers overtime, KTTV-TV reported.
Going forward, officers will be paid for overtime they work with additional paid time off, and the normal limit on the number of hours they can accrue has been lifted. ‘Unusually Large’ Number Of Minneapolis Police Are Quitting, Cite Lack Of Support From City’s Democrat Leaders, Riots – A growing number of Minneapolis police officers are quitting their jobs and are saying that they made the decision based on the lack of support that they have received from local Democrat political leaders.
“At least seven Minneapolis police officers have resigned from the department since widespread unrest began over the death of George Floyd last month, and more than half a dozen are in the process of leaving, according to department officials,” The Star Tribune reported Saturday. “Morale has sunk to new lows in recent weeks, say department insiders, as officers reported feeling misunderstood and squeezed by all sides: by the state probe; by protesters, who hurled bricks and epithets their way; by city leaders, who surrendered a police station that later burned on national television, and by the media.
