Gillibrand Won’t Say Franken Should Resign (VIDEO)

Perhaps Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s (D-NY) insistence that President Bill Clinton should have resigned during the Monica Lewinsky scandal in the 1990s was less than genuine, given her current stance on accused Sen. Al Franken (D-MN). In an appearance on WCNY’s “Capitol Pressroom,” Gillibrand refused to say that the Minnesota senator should resign.

Asked on the show if Franken should resign, Gillibrand punted.

“It’s his decision,” she said. “I think his behavior is unacceptable on any level and is infuriating.”
