A Texas woman spotted a pair of alligators swimming around in her flooded back yard Monday after rains from Hurricane Harvey covered the area in several feet of water and let the reptiles swim over her fence.

Harvey made landfall Friday in southeastern Texas as a Category 4 hurricane, bringing with it torrential rainfall and punishing wind. Harvey dropped more than nine trillion gallons of water over the greater Houston area and Gulf coast region of Texas as it stalled out over land, downgrading to a tropical storm.

Officials expect as many as 30,000 people to seek care in make-shift shelters around Houston. To date, emergency workers have rescued 2,000 people from flooded areas and are still handling dozens more rescue requests.

The storm also displaced 4,500 inmates from three prison facilities south of Houston. The inmates moved to units in East Texas and they have no projected date for returning to their original facilities, officials told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
