After nearly two years in confinement in Turkey, American pastor Andrew Brunson joined President Trump in the Oval Office Saturday and, in a powerful moment, kneeled in prayer for him and the country.
When Brunson told the man who had worked to free him from the oppressive Turkish regime that he and his wife often pray for him and asked to do so now, Trump replied, “Well, I need it probably more than anyone else in this room. So that would be very nice, thank you.”
Brunson then kneeled down and put his left hand on Trump’s right shoulder.
