President Trump said late Sunday that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is calling the last two years, the first of Trump’s term, “by far the best & most productive” of his Senate career.

Trump’s touting of those accomplishments comes after McConnell last week issued a critical statement aimed at Trump regarding the resignation of Defense Secretary James Mattis.
