President Trump said Tuesday he believes it’s good for society and for women that people are sharing stories of sexual harassment, though he downplayed allegations of sexual misconduct against Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore.
“Women are very special, I think it’s a very special time because a lot of things are coming out and I think that’s good for our society and I think it’s very, very good for women, and I’m very happy a lot of these things are coming out, and I’m very happy it’s being exposed,” Trump told reporters.
Trump was answering questions before departing for Florida, where he’ll be spending Thanksgiving.
In the same appearance, Trump appeared to throw his support behind Moore, despite the allegations of sexual misconduct against the Alabama Senate candidate. Several women have accused Moore of sexual misconduct, including assault, when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s.
