Just days before a possible government shutdown, President Donald Trump continues to urge Democrats to back the funding for the U.S.-Mexico border wall.
For months now, Trump has pushed Democrats to back $5 billion funding for the construction of the border wall or else he’d be “proud” to shut down the government to protect Americans from “criminals and people that have lots of problems and drugs pouring into our country.”
On Tuesday, the White House made it clear they wanted to stay away from a shutdown, as White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said there could be “other ways to get to that $5 billion,” IJR Red reported.
The president took to Twitter late Tuesday to set Democrats straight about what the wall would look like.

In our Country, so much money has been poured down the drain, for so many years, but when it comes to Border Security and the Military, the Democrats fight to the death. We won on the Military, which is being completely rebuilt. One way or the other, we will win on the Wall!
