President Donald Trump summed up the greatness of America and its people as he closed his State of the Union address, saying the United States Capitol is a “living monument to the American people.”
Trump said there are innumerable monuments throughout the country to heroes like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and George Washington, as well as important events such as battles in Saratoga, N.Y. and Yorktown, Va.
“[America] was a small cluster of colonies caught between a great ocean and a vast wilderness. But it was home to an incredible people with a revolutionary idea: that they could rule themselves,” he said. – READ MORE

The CBS News / YouGov poll may have been skewed somewhat by the fact that more Republicans watched the speech than Democrats. – READ MORE
