New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he does not agree with President Donald Trump’s idea of firing players from the National Football League if they don’t stand for the national anthem, the 40-year-old player said in an interview Monday.
“I certainly disagree with what he said, I thought it was divisive,” Brady toldBoston’s WEEI hosts Kirk Minihane and Gerry Callahan on the local Monday morning radio show.
Brady’s Monday comments come as NFL players around the league are kneeling in protest during the national anthem, following Trump’s statement that players who do so should be fired. – READ MORE
