Supreme Court: Ginsburg discharged from hospital, ‘doing well’

The Supreme Court announced Friday morning that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had been discharged from the hospital after being treated for three fractured ribs.

Ginsburg, 85, fell in her office Wednesday night and went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight she called Supreme Court police to take her to the hospital early Thursday morning for treatment and observation.

Supreme Court public information officer Kathy Arberg on Friday said Ginsburg is “doing well and plans to work from home today.”

The Associated Press reported that Ginsburg has had health problems in the past. She broke two ribs in a fall in 2012, survived two bouts of cancer and had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery in 2014, according to the report.- READ MORE
