VIDEO: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Fight For Change Embraced American Flag; While the NFL’s Steps On It

“Let us march on ballot boxes until race-baiters disappear from the political arena.”

The NFL has certainly ignored Martin Luther King Jr.’s message. Or perhaps the egocentric sports league believes there’s a place now for race-baiters in the sports arena.

King’s message was draped by thousands of American flags. The NFL’s message steps on the flag. Burns it. Disgraces it. And refuses to apologize in the name of race.

King’s civil rights marches were organic and very patriotic. In contrast, the NFL’s manufactured protest is cheap, poorly devised and hinges on unpatriotic themes and undertones.

King’s historic Selma to Montgomery marches in 1965 consisted of three protests where Americans, black and white, protested WHILE waving the American flag. Thousands of American flags.

Hence, the friction now between Americans who love their country, its flag and its song versus a rogue sports league.

Americans know genuine leather vs. pigskin, real causes versus corporate propaganda ginned up to mask an epidemic of traumatic brain injuries and over prescribing opiates to its employees. The NFL is distracting you. Or trying to. But it isn’t working very well.

The NFL — the majority of which is comprised of African-American players — now shun the American flag. The league’s white owners have since gone all in now too.

King was a visionary and patriot who sought equality and change. Look at the videos of Selma and Montgomery. American flags as far as the eyes can see, waived by folks who have now long since passed. Blacks and whites. Together. Americans.

They didn’t shun America or step on its flag or spit on its anthem. They embraced it. And change happened.

The NFL’s message isn’t about unity at all. It can’t be. Simply because it not built on the foundations of King’s message.

The NFL’s message is therefore, rooted in division and fear.

The key ingredients for hatred.
