President Obama argued Tuesday that terrorism, while troubling, does not threaten the survival of the United States and shouldn’t be treated as though it does.
“Rather than offer false promises that we can eliminate terrorism by dropping more bombs … we have to take a long view of the terrorist threat and we have to pursue a smart strategy that can be sustained,” Obama said during a speech at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa in which he reflected on his administration’s fight against terrorists. – READ MORE
