NYT Editor: Trump Got ‘Tougher Coverage’ Because of ‘Fairness’

Journalistic “fairness” means that “some candidates get tougher coverage,” New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet said in a recent interview with NPR.

Baquet went on to admit that the Times “didn’t do much reporting” on Bill and Hillary Clinton’s personal finances — in the interest of “fairness” and balance.

“We didn’t do much reporting on the Clintons’ finances because their personal finances were not in the league with Donald Trump, and they weren’t running as successful business people,” he said. – READ MORE
