Alvarez and Chavez will face each other in the ring in the headlining match at a sold out T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. The two fighters will collect an estimated $25 million between the two of them, with Alvarez earning $18 million and Chavez getting the remaining $7 million.
Although the two Mexican fighters will avoid a state income tax by fighting in Nevada, their millions will still be subject to a nearly 40 percent federal income tax, and thus contribute to the money that goes into building the border wall.
