Melania stepped off of Air Force One in Texas Tuesday afternoon looking ready to get down to business and offer a helping hand to victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The first lady departed the White House wearing an all black ensemble with a military green jacket, high heels and Aviator sunglasses for the flight. Many were quick to criticize her for her shoe choice, but it looks like she already planned to change clothes for the trip.
Melania lost the jacket, changed shirts and swapped her stilettos for tennis shoes upon arrival in the Lone Star State. She also kept her sunglasses on and added a baseball hat with FLOTUS emblazoned across the front.
The Trumps are scheduled for a tour of the Emergency Operations Center in Austin Texas Tuesday afternoon, according to a schedule released by the office of the White House Press Secretary. Afterwards they will participate in a briefing on Hurricane Harvey with Texas State leadership.
The first lady and the president will depart Texas later Tuesday evening to return to the White House.
