JJ Watt Puts Anthem Protesters to Shame After Getting Special Request From Overseas Troops

With the current politicization of the National Football League — highlighted by protests of the national anthem prior to the start of games — many people have dismissed the NFL as no good anymore, but it is worth remembering that not all of the players are disrespectful.

For example, superstar Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt had already proven he was a decent person with a heart of gold when he helped raise more than $30 million in relief funds following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, but now he has made another gesture of goodwill toward our nation’s military service members.

According to The Daily Caller, Watt essentially agreed to outfit an entire military unit deployed in Afghanistan with his new signature shoes from Reebok after receiving a request from a deployed soldier.

Watt announced the imminent release of his new signature shoes in a social media post Wednesday, and quickly received a comment from a user asking if he was willing to ship a pair of shoes to Afghanistan. – READ MORE
