Sen. Jeff Sessions plans to tell the Senate panel considering his selection as attorney general Tuesday morning that, if confirmed, he’s prepared to tell the president “no” if he overreaches and won’t be a “mere rubberstamp.”
Mr. Sessions faces the first in a series of potentially contentious hearings into the proposed cabinet choices of President-elect Donald Trump.
