‘House of Cards’ to shoot final season without Spacey

“House of Cards” is poised to resume production without its star, Kevin Spacey, after the actor was axed following allegations of sexual misconduct.

A Netflix source tells ITK the political drama will resume production sans Spacey early next year ahead of a sixth and final season.

The streaming service had suspended production of its Emmy Award-winning show after actor Anthony Rapp alleged that Spacey — who played the diabolical protagonist President Frank Underwood — made unwanted sexual advances on him when Rapp was 14 years old.

Spacey had apologized, saying he was “beyond horrified to hear” Rapp’s account, and that he didn’t remember the 1986 encounter.
