Attorney General Jeff Sessions is scheduled to be interviewed by lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee as part of its probe into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, according to a new report.
Also set to be interviewed is Russian-American lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin, who attended a meeting last year with President Donald Trump’s son after he was promised compromising information on then-candidate Hillary Clinton.
Akhmetshin is expected to speak with lawmakers next week and Sessions is planned for Nov. 30, according to the report.
Conversely, the Senate Intelligence Committee has already interviewed Akhmetshin and Sessions. During Sessions’s testimony, he called any allegations that he colluded with Russian a “detestable lie.”
