The Guccifer 2.0 release includes a list of big bank donations, from which a portion of TARP funds—the Troubled Asset Relief Program aimed at helping financial institutions recover from the 2008 economic recession—went to Democrats. Former Congressman Barney Frank, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Congressman Chris Van Hollen, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Congressman James Clyburn, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Luis Gutierrez, Congressman Mel Watt, Congressman John Larson, Congressman Paul Kanjorski, Congressman Xavier Beccera, and Congressman Steny Hoyer were all implicated in a document listing donations from financial firms including Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and others, to their Political Action Committees. The Dodd-Frank Act authorized $475 billion to fund the TARP program, and it appears several Democrats made sure they received a cut of the benefits. – READ MORE
