In what is sure to be considered a win for Olympic gymnasts who have accused him of assault, former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar has been found guilty and sentenced to 60 years in prison for child pornography.
The allegations of assault against Nassar from gold medalists McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas are still pending.
In July, the former doctor pleaded guilty to three counts of child pornography possession, which, according to U.K. Daily Mail, contained more than 37,000 images and videos depicting children — some as young as infants.
“He has demonstrated that he should never again have access to children,” said U.S. District Judge Janet Neff.
