The Coast Guard is working together with the Royal Canadian Navy to unload 26.5 tons of cocaine in Florida at Port Everglades.
Officials estimate the total value of the seized cocaine at approximately $715 million, The Associated Press reports.
The cocaine was not seized in a single operation, but rather came from 27 separate missions and five bale recovery operations in the Pacific Ocean directed at smuggling boats. These smuggling boats operated off the coasts of Central and South America. – READ MORE
