Comedian Chelsea Handler called for thought crime laws in America in a tweet Sunday night, after two Chinese tourists were arrested in Berlin, Germany, for throwing up the Nazi salute.
“2 Chinese guys were arrested in Berlin for making nazi salutes,” she tweeted. “Wouldn’t it be nice 2 have laws here for people who think racism is funny?”

Handler was presumably referring to two Chinese tourists who were arrested after taking pictures of themselves making the Nazi salute by Germany’s parliament building, the Reichstag. They were charged Saturday and face either a fine or a prison sentence of up to three years.
Other Twitter users were quick to call Handler out for her tweet, suggesting that she take it down and “rethink her stance.”
You should really take this down & rethink this stance. Not a good look.

Does @chelseahandler understand that under these laws she could be arrested for some of her stand up lol? She's been pretty bad to Asians.
