Recently hired White House communication’s director Anthony Scaramucci has been in the headlines a lot during his first week as the top WH communications guru. But on Friday, he was in the news because his wife of three years, Deidre Ball, has filed for divorce.
According to a report from the New York Post, Ball filed for the divorce citing her husband’s “naked political ambition.”
Scaramucci later took to his personal Twitter account to confirm the divorce, where he asked people to “leave civilians out of this.” He also sought prayers for he and his family.
However, despite the plea for civility and for people to leave his family out of the conversation amid his difficult time, people were quick to mock his situation or bash him:
