MSNBC host Nicole Wallace got corrected live on her own show when she tried to falsely pin a supposedly racist demonstration on Mississippi Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith.

Wallace was decrying a statement made by Hyde-Smith on Tuesday when she tried to pin the blame on the Republican for nooses found hung from trees in Mississippi.
“I think what a lot of people wonder,” Wallace opined, “not just coastal elites, but people from states other than Mississippi, how can people vote for someone who joked about public hangings?”
