On Friday, a 29-year-old Palestinian Arab wearing an apparent suicide-bombing vest was shot three times by Israeli border police outside Ramallah after he stabbed a soldier in the shoulder at a checkpoint. Mohammed Aqal was taken to a hospital where he died hours later.
