Donald Trump explained his positions on how to handle North Korea in October 1999 during a sit down with the late TV journalist Tim Russert, the beloved and respected moderator of NBC’s Meet The Press.
Fast forward 18 years and now Trump is the president of the United States but strangely, very little has changed based on Trump’s 1999 interview. This likewise underscores how very little ever gets done in Washington DC.
As a sidebar Russert, who died in 2008, is sorely missed today and achieved legendary status as a tough journalist back when Meet the Press wasn’t run by a partisan group of hacks and a no-talent moderator who could double as a smitten yard boy at the Clinton estate.
