President Trump predicted that U.S. economic growth could reach as high as six percent at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, setting lofty goals for an already booming economy.
Speaking to the media before meeting with his Cabinet officials, the president praised American companies for opening new plants in the United States. “That means a lot of jobs,” he said.
Trump said that the federal government needs to do more, however, to foster a productive business environment. If they succeed, he added, economic growth could hit as high as six percent.
