Trump Trolls Avenatti Over Domestic Violence Charges, Avenatti Responds

The public feud between porn star Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti and Donald Trump has added a whole new accusation, this time against the accusation-prone Avenatti, about which the two could swipe at each other. After Trump engaged in some subtle trolling about the felony domestic violence claims filed against Avenatti, the 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful issued a terse response on Tuesday.

Trump’s first public comment on Avenatti’s arrest last week for suspected domestic violence came Tuesday while walking away from a group of White House reporters. Asked “Do you have any reaction to Michael Avenatti being arrested for domestic violence?” Trump replied, “No, I wish him the best of luck.”

Trump repeated the line again, but this time with his famous smirk, “I wish him the best of luck!”

Avenatti clearly noticed the “smirk,” tweeting in response, “[Donald Trump] – keep smirking…”

The question to Trump followed a report Tuesday by gossip site The Blast presenting allegations by actress Mareli Miniutti, who says she was living with Avenatti since January until the incident that led to his arrest. The allegations are included in her supplemental declaration filed in Santa Monica Tuesday in support of her petition to get a restraining order against Avenatti, which has since been granted.- READ MORE
