President Donald Trump will visit Missouri next week to begin a campaign to pass tax reform, according to a new report.
A Trump administration official familiar with the plans told Bloomberg that the president will travel to Missouri’s southwestern city of Springfield on Wednesday to launch his push to overhaul U.S. tax policy.
The trip is expected to be the first of several presidential stops around the country in the coming weeks. Missouri embraced Trump in last year’s presidential election and is the site of an important Senate race in 2018, when Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill (Mo.) will be up for reelection.
