President Donald Trump promised a group of law enforcement officials Friday that he will be their “true friend and loyal champion in the White House.”
“I want you to know that with me, as your president, America’s police will have a true friend and loyal champion in the White House, more loyal than anyone else can be,” Trump told a group of state and local police officers gathered at the FBI National Academy.
“I also want to take a moment to speak to all of the law enforcement families here today,” the president said. “You make tremendous sacrifices. American families can sleep soundly at night because of the burden that you carry for all of us.
