Unlike lawmakers in Congress, President Trump has canceled his Christmas vacation so he can stay in Washington, D.C., to continue work toward a compromise bill that will fund the federal government, which is now partially shut down.
On Sunday, the president said a barrier the only real way “to stop drugs, gangs, human trafficking, criminal elements and much else from coming into our Country is with a Wall or Barrier.”
“The only way to stop drugs, gangs, human trafficking, criminal elements and much else from coming into our Country is with a Wall or Barrier. Drones and all of the rest are wonderful and lots of fun, but it is only a good old fashioned Wall that works!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
