Attorney Michael Avenatti was arrested on Wednesday after a woman, who appeared to have a “swollen and bruised” face with “red marks” on both cheeks, filed a felony domestic violence against Avenatti, TMZ reported.
The attorney, who has taken many swipes at President Donald Trump and is considering a run against Trump in 2020, is now not welcome to attend an event in the state of Vermont.
The Vermont Democratic Party is not taking the accusations against Avenatti lightly as they have canceled his upcoming events on Friday and Saturday.
The Vermont Democratic Party’s Communication’s Director R. Christopher Di Mezzo wrote in a statement that they will be refunding tickets to these events.
“It has been widely reported by ABC News and other outlets that Michael Avenatti has been arrested in Los Angeles, California on charges of suspected felony domestic violence.”
“The Vermont Democratic Party has cancelled Mr. Avenatti’s forthcoming scheduled appearances in Vermont, and will be refunding all ticket sales,” Di Mezzo continued. – READ MORE
