‘That’s Not Normal’: Florida Man Strips Naked After Fleeing Car Crash (VIDEO)
Authorities in Florida say a man stripped naked Wednesday evening after he got in a car crash and took a stroll up the side of the road.
When a police officer first approached 18-year-old Andrew Humphries, he seemed fairly calm even putting his hand up as if he just hailed a cab, the Associated Press reported Friday.
“What’s the deal man? Why are you naked?” the deputy for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office ask.
“Nothing … nothing,” the unclothed teenager responded before walking towards the driver’s side of the patrol car and trying to open the door.
“Are you kidding me dude?” the officer asks the perpetrator while putting him in handcuffs.
“Let me explain to you why you’re in cuffs. You tried to open up the driver’s door of a police car. That’s not normal,” the officer explains. “In addition to that, you are absolutely naked my man. Another thing, not normal.”
The deputy then asks Humphries if he is on any medication or drugs because he is “sweating like crazy.”
After Humphries was arrested and placed in the back of the patrol car, he began screaming and kicking the rear passenger door, ultimately causing $1,000 in damage, according to a Facebook post published by the law enforcement branch.
Police also accuse the man of ripping off the door handle of a separate police vehicle as well as urinating on it. They estimate that damage to that property is valued at roughly $700.00.
Humphries is charged with one county of felony criminal mischief and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. Officials for The Florida Highway Patrol are still investigating the vehicle crash he was reportedly involved in.
