It looks like Spike Lee is joining the rally for Colin Kaepernick.

The film producer posted a photo — which included a misspelled version of Kaepernicks’ last name — promoting the upcoming “United We Stand rally for Colin Kapernick” on Twitter Tuesday.

The rally is scheduled to take place on August 23, 2017 at the NFL Headquarters in New York City.

In another tweet Lee made it clear that he wasn’t involved in organizing the protest, but pledged his support the Kaepernick and “his stance on the injustices in the USA.”

The former San Francisco 49ers starter, who led the National Anthem protest against racial injustice last season, was released by the team after the 2016-17 season and is yet to find a place on another roster.

Many believe that the quarterback’s political views are the sole reason he’s still a free agent, yet an inside NFL source told The Daily Caller Kaepernick has in fact turned down at least one contract — offered at the league minimum — this offseason.
