Sen. Booker Asked How Dems Move Forward if They Win House — He Responds by Bashing Law Enforcement

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) bashed the criminal justice system by calling it the “cancer on our soul of our country.”

Appearing on “The Daily Show,” host Trevor Noah asked the senator how the Democratic Party will run the government moving forward if it does regain control of the House.

Many Democrats, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), have been very confident that they will regain control of the House.

Booker responded by explaining how he lives in an “inner-city community” and is “the only senator that lives in a black and brown inner-city neighborhood” — adding that his neighborhood’s average household income is $14,000.

Then, Booker went after the president and law enforcement.

“What angers me is before we even had a Donald Trump elected, we had a cancer on our soul of our country, a criminal justice system that treats you better if you’re rich and guilty than poor and innocent,” Booker said. – READ MORE
