The first image of Al Pacino portraying infamous Penn State football coach Joe Paterno was released over the weekend.

Pacino looks remarkably similar to the disgraced Nittany Lions coach in the preview released by Deadline Hollywood for the upcoming HBO film “Happy Valley.”

“The film centers on Joe Paterno, who, after becoming the winningest coach in college football history, is embroiled in Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal, challenging his legacy and forcing him to face questions of institutional failure regarding the victims,” HBO told Deadline Hollywood in a statement.

Paterno was part of one of the greatest scandals ever in sports after it was revealed that former coach Jerry Sandusky had been abusing young children. Paterno’s role has never been entirely known, but some have speculated he knew of Sandusky’s actions and turned a blind eye.

Sandusky and Paterno are two of the most disgraced and disgusting individuals ever associated with college football. Fans everywhere, including lots of Penn State fans, absolutely despise the both of them and everything they did and represented.

This HBO movie will likely turn out to be a must-watch event for college football fans.
