President Trump’s deputy assistant, Sebastian Gorka, has parted ways with the White House, but while the Trump administration claims Gorka did not resign, he tells the Washington Examiner that he did.
The Federalist broke the story Friday evening and shared the details of a resignation letter he wrote, in which he expressed support for Trump but lamented that “it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House.”
A White House official rejected the claim that he resigned.
“Sebastian Gorka did not resign, but I can confirm he no longer works at the White House,” said a White House official in a statement.
