The Republican National Committee raised roughly $200 million this election cycle, it announced in a statement Saturday.
Of that amount raised, $27.2 million was in July. The GOP now has $34.5 million cash on hand, it said.
By contrast, the RNC raised $37.7 million in July 2012 and had $88.7 million cash on hand at that point.
“Thanks to a high level of grassroots support and our Joint Fundraising Agreements with the Trump campaign, the RNC is raising the resources we need to elect Donald Trump president and preserve our majorities in the House and Senate,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement Saturday. “We will continue to bolster our fundraising efforts all the way through Election Day.” – READ MORE
