Republican’s Historic Midterm Win Slips from Grasp as She Accuses Her Dem Opponent of Foul Play

Republican Congressional candidate Young Kim is already in Washington, D.C. attending orientation for newly elected members of the House as she was poised to become the nation’s first Korean-American congresswoman, but now she’s accusing her opponent of foul play as it looks like her groundbreaking win may not be a victory after all.

After holding a 3-point lead over Democrat Gil Cisneros, her opponent surpassed her late Thursday as additional votes came in. The sudden shift came just days after Kim accused Cisneros of “harassing and intimidating” vote counters.

“Those nefarious actions reflect a campaign that knows a majority of voters cast their ballots electing Young Kim, and as a result will do anything in their desperate attempts to change the results,” her campaign stated. “The Young Kim campaign is standing up for the democratic process, the will of the majority of voters, and is emphatically committed to every legal vote being counted.”

While Kim stated that her opponent was rebuked by the Los Angeles County Registrar for “physical vote tampering,” the registrar’s office told Fox News they had not addressed any such incident. Additionally, Cisneros’ campaign fired back with a statement of their own denying the allegations. – READ MORE
