I am an unapologetic Catholic but I have to express my confusion of our current Pope’s inability to perceive reality. I mentioned this before when I discussed the, in my view, disastrous environmental encyclical “Laudato Si’,” or “Praise Be to You” . In that encyclical, he romanticizes the life of the subsistence farmer — and it is safe to say that he has never lived that life — and trashes an economic system that has done more to lift people out of poverty than all the good wishes and unicorn farts in the history of the world.
That is a minor problem. Because most nations aren’t going to voluntarily return to a pre-industrial society. Where he goes into profoundly dangerous territory is on the subject of immigration, particularly the mass migration of Islamic ‘refugees’. – READ MORE
