Doctors insist it is safe for Trump to return to WH as POTUS says he’ll be discharged from hospital – White House physician Dr. Sean Conley said that President Trump “may not entirely be out of the woods yet” in his fight against the novel coronavirus, but said that the “clinical status” supports his discharge from Walter Reed Military Medical Center and a safe return to the White House.

During a news briefing at Walter Reed Monday, Conley said that the president would be discharged Monday evening. – READ MORE


NBC-WSJ Poll Gives Biden 14 Point Lead… By Massively Oversampling Democrats – A new Wall Street Journal / NBC News poll released on Sunday gave former Vice President Joe Biden a 14-point lead over President Trump, suggesting that “the debate – is having a material effect on Mr. Trump’s political standing.”

Another factor having a ‘material effect’ is the poll’s egregious oversampling of Democrats – with 45% of those asked identifying as either “Strong Democrat” , “Not very strong Democrat” , “Independent/lean Democrat” – vs. the 36% of those asked identifying as the same degrees of Republican. – READ MORE


Michigan Governor Vows To Continue Coronavirus Measures Despite State Supreme Court Ruling – Even though the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s emergency declaration for the coronavirus pandemic violates two state laws and the state constitution, the governor has vowed to continue with the measures she has put in place using that declaration.

As The Daily Wire’s Tim Pearce reported, the Michigan Supreme Court “ruled that Whitmer lacked authority under each of the two laws that govern states of emergency in Michigan to extend the state of emergency passed April 30, when her first state of emergency declaration expired, according to Mlive.com. Those two laws are the 1976 Emergency Management Act (EMA) and the 1945 Emergency Powers of the Governor Act (EPGA).” – READ MORE

Officer In Grand Jury Testimony: Breonna Taylor’s Boyfriend Initially Said Taylor Shot At Officers – According to released grand jury testimony, it was Breonna Taylor who shot at police officers during a March 13 raid on her apartment, boyfriend Kenneth Walker allegedly told police before changing his story.

Former Officer Brett Hankison told investigators during an interview heard by the grand jury that Walker “had told him ‘she was the one who shot at us,’” the Daily Mail reported Friday. “Walker later said that he was the one who opened fire.” – READ MORE

The Post-Pandemic ‘New Normal’ Looks Awfully Authoritarian – We’re told that life is never getting back to normal, so we need to suck it up and accept a world of mask-wearing, economic disruption, and social distancing. It’s a denatured echo of the warnings we’ve heard before that government responses to COVID-19 are pushing the world toward authoritarianism—but dressed up as if that’s a good thing.

That’s unfortunate, given that less-intrusive responses to the pandemic are proving at least as effective as heavy-handed ones.
