Former liberal cable news star Keith Olbermann said President Donald Trump “just impeached himself” following his decision to dismiss FBI Director James Comey from his post Tuesday.
Olbermann insisted that Trump impeached himself minutes after news broke of Comey’s firing.

His insistence that Trump effectively impeached himself by firing Comey contradicts his attitude towards the now former FBI director. Just before Election Day on Nov. 6, Olbermann tweeted that the one thing both Democrats and Republicans could agree on was firing Comey.

The display of hypocrisy was mirrored by many on the left, including Democratic members of the House and Senate. Many of the same faces calling for Comey’s resignation in November now seem incensed that the president fired the man.
Olbermann, a former ESPN “SportsCenter” personality and MSNBC political commentator, now hosts a web series with GQ Magazine entitled, “The Resistance.”
