The bomb is a remnant of WWII most likely made in America, reported Newsweek Thursday. The bomb is 33 inches long with a 6-inch diameter, according to a statement from Tokyo Power Electric Company.

Fukushima Prefectural Police are currently investigating if the device found at the power plant is a bomb, and if deemed explosive, the police will determine if disposal methods are necessary, according to The Mainichi Thursday.
