Meadows said, “Certainly, the vast majority of Republican members of the conference understand that there may be a compromise between 5.7 billion and 1.6, or wherever the number may be. But as we’re looking at it, whether it’s 2.5 or 2.7, it doesn’t matter, Chuck Schumer has said no. The American people see that as a compromise. I see that as a compromise.
