Liberal Muslim Leaders Fear Their Safety For Protesting Terrorism
During an anti-terrorism march in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday, Muslim leaders expressed the danger they face for having more liberal views within the Islamic community.
“The majority of Muslims don’t accept our speech,” said Hocine Drouiche, vice president of Muslim Imams in France to German broadcaster Deutsche Welle. “We’re afraid for our wives and children. It’s a very difficult problem. These people need to be enemies of the Occident.”
Due to ongoing threats of terrorist attacks made by Islamic extremists in Europe, Muslim leaders launched a European bus tour to denounce Islamic extremists in Paris Saturday.
Muslim leaders embarked on a tour throughout Europe to denounce Islamic terrorist attacks. The trip is titled “Muslims’ march against terrorism.” The leaders will travel to throughout Germany, Belgium and France throughout the week to pay homage to the victims of terror attacks in Europe.
