Since Ronan Farrow’s piece in The New Yorker exposed the alleged sexually deviant behavior of producer Harvey Weinstein, victims have continued to come forward to speak out.
While Weinstein has been largely cast out of Hollywood, claims iconic actress Maureen O’Hara made in 1945 demonstrated that the problem is far from being confined to present day, and therefore the removal of one person won’t prove to be a lasting solution.
She said that producers and directors called her a “cold potato without sex appeal,” because she refused to sleep with them.
“Because I don’t let the producer and director kiss me every morning they have spread the word around town that I am not a woman — I am a cold piece of marble statuary,” O’Hara told the Daily Mirror.
