GM to lay off 2,000 hourly workers

General Motors is laying off around 2,000 hourly workers at two plants, the company wrote in a statement Wednesday.

The Detroit News was the first to report the layoffs occurring at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan and its Lordstown Assembly Plant in Warren, Ohio in the first quarter. The layoffs are part of an effort to cut bloated supply. – READ MORE
