A search warrant that triggered the reopening of the probe into Hillary Clinton’s private email server in the days before the election was finally made public Tuesday.
The FBI sought to gain access to a laptop belonging to ex-New York congressman Anthony Weiner, who is currently under investigation for allegedly sexting an underage girl, according to the warrant dated Oct. 30.
Twenty-one pages pertaining to the warrant and related documents were released.
A fresh batch of Clinton emails were discovered on the computer in connection to an email account of her longtime aide and Weiner’s estranged wife, Huma Abedin.
Less than two weeks before the Nov. 8 election, FBI Director James Comey announced that the agency was seeking to obtain the search warrant to see whether the emails were related to Clinton’s private email server.–READ MORE
