Facebook admitted this week to investigating comments made by billionaire Democrat Party donor George Soros that were critical of the social media company.
An internal memo from Eliot Schrage, Facebook’s outgoing head of communications and policy, went public this week.
It detailed the company suspicions about Soros, and specifically his possible connection to a group called Freedom from Facebook, which is highly critical of the social media company and claims the Mark Zuckerberg-founded tech giant has “too much power.”
“In January 2018, investor and philanthropist George Soros attacked Facebook in a speech at Davos, calling us a ‘menace to society,’” the memo said.
“We had not heard such criticism from him before and wanted to determine if he had any financial motivation. Definers researched this using public information.”- READ MORE
